Our subscription scheme offers eligible contractors and limited companies access to preferential guarantee rates, with annual membership fee and conditions of membership.
- The fee is £100.00 + VAT Yearly with unlimited Guarantees at a substantially fixed price preferential rate of £60.00 + VAT per GPI Guarantee™.
- The GPI Guarantee™ indemnity limit is £50,000 per Guarantee above this requires a further fee.
- But you must apply for at least one GPI Guarantee™ per month to remain a member.
- These guarantees indemnify the Guarantees you issue and only become active if you cease trading.

How GPI Guarantee Protection Works
GPI Guarantees™ (Guarantee Protection Indemnity Ltd and GPI Guarantees™ Ltd) are designed to offer reassurance to homeowners and contractors undertaking building and renovation projects. Our guarantees are designed to provide protection in accordance with the policy terms, including circumstances where the original contractor ceases trading.
We offer standalone guarantees and access to a network of structural and remedial repair contractors across the UK.
Where a valid claim is accepted, the appropriate remedial works or settlement will be arranged in accordance with the guarantee's terms and conditions.
GPI Guarantees™ will undertake all the necessary re-treatment works if a Claim is made.
Summary of GPI Guarantees™
GPI Guarantees™ proposition is essentially a long-term, independently underwritten layer of protection for building work.
It is intended to give the property owner protection beyond the contractor's own warranty, particularly if the contractor subsequently becomes unable to honour that warranty.

Guarantees
Providing GPI Guarantees™ for glazing, roofing, waterproofing, damp and timber treatment, renovations, loft and building extensions, basement conversions, basement water proofing, garage conversions, structural repairs including underpinning, wall ties and helical bars.

Lasting Support
The GPI Guarantee™ terms are 10, 20 or 30 years, excluding underground developments which have a fixed term of 10 years. Our Guarantees are offered to the building owner or building contractor. Our Guarantees are a fixed fee. All our Guarantees are backed by London Underwriter's.

What we need
You will need to provide drawings of any renovation or development, an invoice showing the cost of the works and the original quotation or specification outlining the scope of works. Once we have this information we will provide a quotation for a fixed term Guarantee.

Under GPI Guarantee™ terms and conditions if any Rising Damp, Timber treatment, Structural repair or Basement water proofing defect occurs, we will instruct one of our approved contractors to visit and treat the entire property as necessary, free of any charge, as detailed in our written GPI Guarantee™.
The Guarantee remains valid irrespective of any notifiable transfers of ownership of the property within the unexpired period of cover of the GPI Guarantee™.

The up to 30 Year Protected GPI Guarantee™ is issued for a small one-off premium payment.
The fundamental strength of our up to 30 Year Protected GPI Guarantee™ is that it is issued entirely independently of any Manufacturing Company. It should be noted Chemical Companies Guarantees are worthless they only Guarantee their products not workmanship and labour. GPI Guarantees™ are fully comprehensive of materials, labour and making good decorations. No other Guarantee provider in the UK offers this unique service.
We aim to resolve any Guarantee claim within 14 days to include a technical Surveyor and comprehensive repairs conducted. Some Guarantee providers take up to a year to provide the same level of repairs.

Monies are held in a separate account to meet any future claims. Being financially viable is so important for a business and provides reassurance to our clients.
GPI Guarantees™ are issued for terms ranging from 10 years to 30 years. Premiums vary from as little as 3% to 5% of the works contact value Guaranteed.
GPI Guarantee applications are open to anyone as long as no pre-existing fault or damage is present.
Minimum costs for a GPI Guarantee™ is £100.00 + VAT
Importantly 99.9% of all claims are accepted. We are a non profit making organisation. Claims undertaken by our approved network of specialist contractors.
All claims are dealt with by an independent Surveyor or Member of the Royal Institute Of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Our network of Surveyors covers the entire UK Including Northern Ireland.
Our GPI Guarantees™ are Underwritten on an annual basis by London Underwriters.
The policy has a yearly aggregate limit for claims of £500,000.
